Digital Life: Some Fun Events And Free Stuff At Digital Life
Digital Life will feature some events that go beyond testing out products. Google (who plan to spend a lot of time talking to) will be giving out Gmail accounts at its booth. AOL will be raffling off a "digital makeover", while there will be a Dance Dance Revolution competition, with a top prize of $1000. Attendees can get their faces on a Cosmopolitan cover (expect to see me try that out), while CosmoGIRL will be searching for the hottest guy in America (expect me to win). Blackberry will have a speed text messaging competition, proving that repetitive stress injuries can be fun. Some booths will allow people to legally download free music and audiobooks, or buy their products at lower prices. H&M Software will be giving out free full versions of its StudioLine Photo, a Picasa like image organization program. And finally, PC Magazine will on Saturday crown "America's Fastest Geek", giving a high-end PC to whoever can assemble a fully functioning computer the fastest.
