Digital Life: Starting Out, and Google Desktop Search
I have just arrived at Digital Life, as the picture should attest. Time to find me some Googlers...

The Unofficial Google Weblog says Google is unveiling the public beta of Google desktop search, code-named Puffin, right here today. John Battelle, Search Engine Watch, Reuters, and Andy Beal have even more info. I'm going to find out.
