Google Board Member Says "No GBrowser"
John Doerr, a member of Google's board and a major investor, tells attendees of Web 2.0 that he doesn't see a browser in Google's future. Of course:
Doerr later joked, however, that just because he was on the board of Google didn't necessarily mean he knew what they were doing.
I've never been big on rumors that have no corroboration, and even now that someone from Google has said it won't happen, I doubt the rumors will dry up. Personally, I'll wait until the quarterly report on 10/21, which is when I expect Google to bring out whatever it is many hope they've been hiding.
