Google Wants Your Books
Ah, my inaugural post at InsideGoogle!

Adam M. Smith, Google Print product manager, has just announced that Google is expanding the program and they're now inviting publishers to send them books that they'll scan and put online for free.
"There are many, many books out there, and the process of scanning takes time, but depending on your areas of interest, it's likely you'll soon be seeing more Google Print results when you use Google."
I think by what I have read so far today, this is pretty much a given.
