Google And LexisNexis Reach Agreement
Possibly thanks to a business arrangement they started a little over two months ago, Google has reached an agreement with LexisNexis, a huge collection of news resources. LexisNexis has been losing paying customers, who are satisfied with Google News. The owner of LexNex, Reed Elsevier, said:
For the last year or two we have had a lot of discussion over whether Google is an ally or a competitor. But there is a logic to working with Google in one or two areas. Google brings its size and we bring our content.
The first part of the agreement provides users of Reed's Kellysearch business information website with Google Ads, but presumably there will be more content-related agreements. LexisNexis is busy finalizing deals with Microsoft and Yahoo.
