Internet Advertising Becomes Big Time For Kerry Campaign
Wired is reporting that John Kerry's presidential campaign is dumping large amounts of money into online advertising, dropping $400,000 on 50 major sites mere hours after the debate. I'd also like to point out that the news site I run hass seen an enormous and unusual amount of its AdSense ads about the Presidential campaign, so people are really bidding up the value of election related keywords. I think the Vioxx situation last week has shown a lot of people that online advertising is a required part of any ad campaign, and possibly the cheapest and most effective part as well.

UPDATE - Check this CBS article about news-based ad buys, via Search Engine Watch Blog. It explains how one law firm got 2,500 clicks on its Vioxx ad already.
